for everyone
This morning I travel to Hiwassee College where I graduated with an Associates of Arts degree in 1992. I am a member of the Alumni Board of Governors. Hiwassee means a lot to me because they gave me a second chance to be a college student and a opportunity for a great beginning.

Over the last couple of years they have been in a legal battle with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS for short) regarding their accreditation. Hiwassee has a great academic program but financially they have always run on a shoestring. This past week they lost an appeal in federal court regarding their accreditation. This means that financial aid and current student credits are in peril.

I pray good things will come from this but right now there seems to be a cloud overhanging my Alumni meeting today. We will just have to see what happens in the coming months as the college pursues other accreditation arrangements. God be with Hiwassee College in these days and be with the adminisration, students, faculty and staff as they weather this storm.

It seems that when a person can get ahead some then there is always interference from some one, organization of even spirit. Because you are trying to bring a bit of light into this old world your a target for the makers of darkness.
Don't think that your quest has gone un-noticed for the good will always over rule evil, or something like that. What may seem as a big dissapointment may indeed bring some light or happiness to many others,
I read your post most every day but seldom do I reply, but keep up the good work.
